The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum is a small railroad museum in Tucson, Arizona, housed in the former records vault of the historic Southern Pacific Depot, which the City of Tucson renovated in 2004. Admission is free; its star exhibit is Southern Pacific Railroad locomotive 1673, a steam engine, with docents on hand to answer questions on Saturdays and guided tours available by appointment at other times. The museum also runs downtown historic walking tours between October and March, railroad safety education, an oral history programme and an active collections department covering transportation in southern Arizona.
