How county is determined

Each attraction's county is resolved from its coordinates against U.S. Census geography rather than copied from a description. That matters for places on or near a boundary, and it is why Glen Canyon National Recreation Area — whose centre lies in Utah — is handled as a multi-state unit rather than being filed under a single Arizona county by assumption.

Counties with no entry yet are absent rather than listed empty. The database is being built out from the best-sourced records first, so coverage grows toward the whole state rather than starting with a page for every county and filling them in later.
