Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park is an Arizona state park in Tombstone, preserving the original Cochise County courthouse. The two-storey Victorian building was constructed in 1882 in the shape of a cross and held county offices — among them the sheriff, recorder, treasurer and Board of Supervisors — as well as courtrooms and a jail. It now contains a museum of artefacts from the town's history, and a replica gallows stands in the courtyard on the spot where seven men were hanged. The park was among the first designated in Arizona and, in 1959, the first to open after the state parks board was established in 1957. It recorded 37,139 visits in 2024.
