Alamo Lake State Park

Alamo Lake State Park is an Arizona state park centred on Alamo Lake, a flood control and recreational reservoir in western Arizona about 38 miles north of Wenden. It is reached by a paved two-lane road running off either U.S. Route 60 to the south or U.S. Route 93 to the east. The park has camping facilities and draws wildlife enthusiasts, with bald eagles among the species present. Its remoteness and distance from any city make it the darkest sky state park in Arizona and a destination for stargazing. It recorded 77,604 visits in 2024.
