Coronado National Memorial commemorates the first organised expedition into the American South-west, led by the conquistador Francisco Vásquez de Coronado in 1540. It lies on the Mexico–United States border on the south-east flank of the Huachuca Mountains, south of Sierra Vista, and is bordered to the north and west by Coronado National Forest. An overlook at Montezuma Pass within the memorial marks the point at which the expedition entered what is now Arizona. It recorded 164,426 recreation visits in 2024.
