Escudilla Mountain is a peak in Apache County, Arizona, and part of the White Mountains, about 3.5 miles from the Arizona–New Mexico border. Its summit is the highest point in the Escudilla Wilderness, which is administered as part of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, and it is the third-highest mountain peak in Arizona. The area was severely affected by the Wallow Fire of June 2011. A section of Aldo Leopold's A Sand County Almanac discusses Escudilla, which was where the last grizzly bear in Arizona was killed, in 1936.
