Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park

Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park is an Arizona state park near Yarnell, created to commemorate the nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who died there on 30 June 2013 while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire. The park opened on 30 November 2016 and received more than 18,000 visitors in its first year. It stands on the site where the firefighters died and is reached by a hiking trail of 3.5 miles from a parking area off Arizona State Route 89, about two miles south of Yarnell. It recorded 20,728 visits in 2024.
