Her Secret Is Patience is a public art sculpture designed by the artist Janet Echelman and commissioned by the city of Phoenix. It stands downtown in Civic Space Park, across from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. The work is made of painted galvanised steel, polyester twine netting and coloured lights, and was produced by the artist with a team of engineers, architects, planners and fabricators at a cost of $2.5 million. Its title is a quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson; during construction it was unofficially called Sky Bloom.
