Hohokam Stadium, also known as Dwight W. Patterson Field, is a 10,500-seat baseball park in Mesa, Arizona, a suburb east of Phoenix. It is named after the Hohokam people, who occupied the region from approximately AD 1 to the middle of the fifteenth century. The present ground was completed in January 1997, after the original Hohokam Stadium of 1976 was demolished, and it carried the name Hohokam Park between 1997 and 2013. In 2015 it became the spring training ground of the Athletics, following a refurbishment of the stadium and its facilities led by Populous. Its scoreboard, 12 feet by 16, is the largest in the Cactus League.
