Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site

Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site preserves the oldest continuously operated trading post on the Navajo Nation. It stands on Highway 191 north of Chambers, with an exhibit centre in Ganado, Arizona, and was established on 28 August 1965, covering about 160 acres. From the late 1860s to the 1960s the trading post was the main financial and commercial hub for many Navajo people, serving as a bank where silver and turquoise could be pawned, a post office and a store. It is regarded as a meeting ground of two cultures, the Navajo and the settlers who came to the area to trade. It recorded 46,419 recreation visits in 2024.
