The Phoenix Arizona Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Phoenix, Arizona. Its construction was announced on 24 May 2008, a month after the Gila Valley and Gilbert temples were announced for Arizona, and it is the fifth temple in the state. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 4 June 2011, conducted by Ronald A. Rasband, and the temple was completed in 2014 as the church's 144th. It was designed by the architectural firm CCBG Architects and has a single attached central spire carrying a statue of the angel Moroni.
