Sahuaro Ranch was founded in 1886 by William Henry Bartlett, a native of Illinois, on land north of what later became the city of Glendale, Arizona, and was planted with fig and other fruit orchards, vineyards and fields of alfalfa. Its historical structures have all been restored, and the site, now Sahuaro Ranch Park, is administered by Glendale's Parks and Recreation Department. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on 7 March 1980.
