Sleeping Dragon Butte is a natural landmark in Monument Valley, Navajo County, Arizona. Viewed from the north it resembles a dragon, and from the west a ghost shape appears in the sky above it. It lies south of Flying Eagle, with a few traditional Navajo hogans just to its south. A large gash in the butte's southern side distinguishes it from the nearby toadstool-shaped formations it otherwise resembles.
