The Wigwam Motel in Holbrook is one of three surviving motels of the Wigwam Villages chain, built in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s. Its rooms take the form of tipis, which the chain's name mistakenly calls wigwams. Seven locations were built in all: two in Kentucky and one each in Alabama, Florida, Arizona, Louisiana and California. The Holbrook motel and the surviving motel at San Bernardino, California, both stand on the historic U.S. Route 66. All three surviving motels are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Holbrook one in 2002 under its official designation, Wigwam Village #6.
