Desert Sky Pavilion is an amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, which opened on 9 November 1990 with a performance by Billy Joel. It seats 8,106 under a pavilion roof, with a further 12,000 places on a hillside behind the main stands; its total capacity of more than 20,000 is higher than that of Mortgage Matchup Center or Desert Diamond Arena. The season runs from April to October. The venue has since been renamed under naming-rights agreements, most recently as the Ak-Chin Pavilion and now as the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.
