It is among the largest dry caverns in the United States, and because there is little water within it stalactites and stalagmites are rare. The temperature underground holds at about 56°F, or 13°C, through the year. In Havasupai the caverns are called Ŧathiil Ñwa'a. Guided routes range from a walking tour of about three quarters of a mile to an off-trail caving tour taken in groups of two to six.
