The Mesa Arizona Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mesa, Arizona, and the seventh of the church's temples to enter operation. It was formerly known as the Arizona Temple and is nicknamed the Lamanite Temple. The intent to build it was announced on 1 October 1919 by the church president Heber J. Grant during general conference; ground was broken on 25 April 1922, and Grant dedicated the completed building on 23 October 1927. It is the first of nine temples built or planned in Arizona as of September 2025, three of them in Maricopa County. The temple stands on a 20-acre site laid out with gardens and seating, through which the public may walk.
