Oak Creek Canyon is a river gorge in northern Arizona, between Flagstaff and Sedona, and is often described as a smaller counterpart to the Grand Canyon. State Route 89A enters the canyon at its northern end by a series of hairpin turns, then runs along the canyon floor for about 13 miles before reaching the town of Sedona.
