Oatman is a census-designated place in the Black Mountains of Mohave County, Arizona, at an elevation of 2,710 feet. It began in 1915 as a small mining camp, after two prospectors struck ten million dollars in gold, though the vicinity had already been settled for several years; the population grew to more than 3,500 within a year. At the 2020 census it was 102.
