Warren Ballpark is a baseball and football ground in Bisbee, Arizona. It was built in 1909 by the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company, later merged with Phelps Dodge, as recreation for the miners and their families, and predates Wrigley Field in Chicago by nearly five years. The site covers about forty acres and is enclosed by an eight-foot wooden security fence, divided into a baseball field on the east side and a football stadium on the west. The baseball field has a shaded cast-in-place concrete grandstand at its north-east corner, built in 1909 and still in its original condition; it is listed as a state historic building, and the dugouts, changing rooms, showers and manager's offices are housed beneath it. The football field runs north to south, with modern steel bleachers along both sides that have at times been pushed back to enlarge the baseball outfield. In 1917 the ground was where 1,300 striking miners, seized in the Bisbee Deportation, were held. It is used by the Bisbee High School baseball and football teams and the Bisbee Killer Termites, and has been home to the Tucson Saguaros of the Pecos League and the Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings of the Arizona-Mexico League.
