Presidio Santa Cruz de Terranate

Presidio Santa Cruz de Terranate is a historic site near Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona, containing the most intact remains in the United States of a Spanish colonial fortress. It was built in 1776 and abandoned four years later after persistent Apache attacks. The site is now managed as part of the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.
