The Sierra Estrella, also called the Estrella Mountains, is a mountain range south-west of Phoenix. Its O'odham name is Komaḍk, its Maricopa name Vii Lyxa and its Yavapai name Wi:kchasa. Much of the range lies within the Gila River Indian Reservation; 14,400 acres of Bureau of Land Management land on its north-western side, near Goodyear, are protected as the Sierra Estrella Wilderness.
