The Superstition Mountains, known in Yavapai as Wi:kchsawa, are a range east of the Phoenix metropolitan area. They are anchored by Superstition Mountain and bounded roughly by U.S. Route 60 to the south, Arizona State Route 88 to the northwest and Arizona State Route 188 to the northeast. Their proximity to Phoenix makes the range a well-used recreation area for the city.
