The Commemorative Air Force Museum, also known as CAF Airbase Arizona, is a museum at Falcon Field in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona, established in 1978. It is the tenth unit of the Commemorative Air Force and home to one of the organisation's largest units. The museum exhibits World War II artifacts, helicopters, and classic American and foreign combat aircraft, and works to preserve historic war planes in flying condition. Its collection includes the restored World War II B-17 bomber Sentimental Journey; of the 12,731 B-17s built during the war, about thirteen remain airworthy, with roughly eight flying in the United States.
