The Peloncillo Mountains are a mountain range in north-eastern Cochise County, Arizona. The name is Spanish for 'little baldy', from pelo, hair, and pelon, hairless or bald. A northern, north-south stretch of the range extends to the southern region of Greenlee County on the north-east and a south-eastern region of Graham County on the north-west, and forms the border between the two counties. The range lies east and north-east of the Willcox Playa and the San Simon Valley, in the region of south-eastern Arizona and south-western New Mexico known as the Madrean Sky Islands.
