Saguaro Lake is the fourth reservoir on the Salt River, formed by Stewart Mountain Dam. It lies off State Route 87, roughly halfway between Phoenix and the ghost town of Sunflower, with the dammed end of the lake at an elevation of 1,506 feet. The lake is within the Tonto National Forest and its facilities are managed by that authority. Large fish kills caused by golden algae were documented in the lake between 2017 and 2019 and again in 2022.
